These terms apply when you book a programme of The World Can Be Yours (for example the AI Survival Summer Camp or the Postmodern Leadership Program) with Syndesi Single Member P.C. (Syndesi S.M.P.C.), Glyfada, Agios Georgios, Chora, 84300 Naxos, Cyclades, Greece, tourist agency ΜΗΤΕ no. [to fill: ΜΗΤΕ registration number (tourist agency)]. Our programmes combine accommodation, transport and activities, so they are package travel under Greek Presidential Decree 7/2018 (EU Package Travel Directive 2015/2302). You will enjoy all the EU rights that apply to packages, and Syndesi S.M.P.C. is fully responsible for the proper performance of the whole package.
+Before you book
Before you book we send you the programme description (dates, places, accommodation, transport, meals, activities, group size, language), the total price including VAT and all charges, the payment schedule, the minimum group size, travel-document and health requirements, insurance information, and the EU standard information form for package travel. This information becomes part of your contract.
+How a booking is made
- You ask for a place through our contact form, by email or by phone.
- We send you the offer and these terms. Check the details; tell us if anything is wrong and we correct it before you accept.
- You accept the offer in writing (email or signature) and pay the deposit.
- We confirm your booking by email without delay, with your contract on a durable medium (PDF). We keep a copy of the contract and send you another one on request.
For participants under 18, a parent or legal guardian makes the booking and signs. Contracts are available in Greek and English, and in French or Portuguese where we offer them.
+Price and payment
Prices are per person and include VAT and every charge listed in the offer. Payment: a deposit of [to fill: deposit (e.g. 30% of the price)] at booking, and the balance [to fill: when the balance is due (e.g. 45 days before the start)]. We do not charge different prices or terms because of your nationality, place of residence or the country of your bank card.
We may change the price after booking only for changes in transport fuel costs, taxes or fees, or exchange rates, as explained in the offer, and no later than 20 days before the start. If the increase is more than 8%, you can accept it or cancel without a fee. If those costs go down, you get a reduction.
+If you cancel
You can cancel at any time before the programme starts by writing to us. The cancellation fee is: [to fill: cancellation fees by date (e.g. 60+ days: deposit; 59–30 days: 50%; under 30 days: 100%)]. The fee reflects our actual costs and is never higher than what you have paid.
You pay no fee if unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances at the destination or nearby (for example a natural disaster, epidemic or serious security problem) significantly affect the programme or the travel there. We refund what is due within 14 days.
The 14-day withdrawal right for online purchases does not apply to package travel; the cancellation rights above apply instead.
+Transferring your place
You can transfer your booking to someone who meets the programme's conditions (for example the age range), if you tell us at least 7 days before the start. You and the new participant are jointly responsible for the balance and any reasonable extra cost of the transfer, which we tell you in advance.
+If we change or cancel the programme
We may make minor changes and will tell you clearly. If we need to change an essential feature, or cannot meet a special request we accepted, we tell you without delay; you can accept the change or cancel with a full refund.
We may cancel if the minimum group of [to fill: minimum participants] participants is not reached, telling you at least [to fill: notice if the minimum is not reached (law: 20 days for trips over 6 days)] before the start, or because of unavoidable and extraordinary circumstances. You then get a full refund within 14 days.
+During the programme
Tell our local staff at once if something is not as agreed, so we can fix it; you may be entitled to a price reduction or compensation. We help you if you are in difficulty, including with health services and alternative travel.
Young participants follow the programme's house rules, which we send with the offer. If a participant seriously endangers themselves or others, we contact the parents and may, as a last resort and after consulting them, arrange the participant's return home at the parents' cost.
+Travel documents, health and insurance
Participants need a valid passport or ID card and any visa their nationality requires; we tell you the general requirements before you book. Participants under 18 travelling without their parents may need a parental consent letter or travel authorisation from their country. Insurance: [to fill: insurance included or recommended].
+Our liability
We are responsible for performing all the services in your package, whoever provides them. Our liability is limited only as far as international conventions and PD 7/2018 allow, and never for personal injury or damage caused intentionally or through gross negligence.
+Insolvency protection
